Fear not.. I am not going to put you to sleep by “blowing my own trumpet” or narrating to you how I managed to bend the rainbow or build a bridge to Heaven and what not… π
I am this “yet” another guy on the internet who is blogging technical posts, not for the sake of it, or for the sake of seeking publicity, but with an intention of doing whatever I can, to share what I have learnt with others, who might have been looking for information, just like me on the net.
If you find things useful, let me know.. If you feel my posts suck or bore you to death, feel free to navigate away…
And yes, I am a person who is aspiring on two things to be done…
1. Be called as an Automation Architect some day..
2. See my name in one of the commits on the “Selenium” codebase !!
Someday, I hope to achieve both these !
Until then, I will continue to share what I know.. here… !
Oh btw, if you have any queries or doubts related to any of the posts, I would strongly encourage you to post it as a query on either the TestNG or the Selenium Google forums. I pretty much view all the mails there. I don’t frequent the blog site that often unless and until I am writing up a new post (which you can see has also become very rare these days….).
All the best buddy!
You will… π
Thank you Savita… Am eagerly awaiting that day as well π
All the best..I know content on your blog will definitely help others in future.
Let me be the first one to subscribe to your blog. π
Thanks Gulshan. Lets hope that it does serve the purpose for which I decided to start it π
Krishnan – I am really struggling with TestNg Listeners. Can you please post a tutorial on same? It will be very helpful. I have searched on web and could not find one. The documentation on testng website is not enough to understand how to implement listeners. If you know any good link that can help me understand, that will also work.
Thathasthu is the Sanskrit word π Check I managed to put something out there for you. Hope that helps!

Question: How to run selenium scripts in Mac using RemoteDriver and safari driver. I have 2 mac machines are there. Can you please send the code to invoke safari browser in Mac machine through RemoteDriver?
You should post questions on the selenium-users google forums where you stand the chance of getting an instant reply.

Hi krishnan, Is there any way we could directly discuss with you on some of the topics rather than using stackoverflow
What exactly are you looking at ? IMHO you are better off on stack overflow because there are a lot of people who can answer you. You can also find me on the selenium-users Google groups as well.
Some questions are unanswered in stack overflow, i believe you could one of them who could answer it , so looking at a place online where these questions could be send over to some one
who knows the answer
Ping those links to the questions and I will see if I can take a jab at them.
I am trying to figure out the actual issue and fix it . Kindly help with the following question .
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/41549145/testng-parallel-execution-result-shows-less-pass-percentage-compare-to-normal-ex?noredirect=1#comment70303137_41549145
I have responded to your query on Stackoverflow. Currently there’s hardly any information which can help in starting to debug. Please add more information as I mentioned in the comments of your query.
I have replied to your query…
Please let me know how to troubleshoot on this issue
the line of codes are more to fit into the comment section of the stack overflow
Is there any other way that i could share my code
Please let me know
You can post the code to gist.github.com and share a link to it on stack overflow
Hi , I have posted the code in stack overflow
please find the same
hi I have my code in git hub, this is made for my company hence cant be in the stack overflow ,you can give the solution on stack . https://github.com/FoulerBenny/SampleProject.
2 issues
1. When running the framework parallel using testng.xml , the pass percentage is less . Element not found error majorly.
2. Unable to connect mac as node to the windows HUB. The testcase skip. I am connected using wifi to the node…
I have answered your question for (1). For (2) I would suggest that you please add a new post on stackoverflow and provide as much details as possible.
Hi Krishnan , thanks for the reply. I have added one more comment as part of the Answer that you have posted in stack. Kindly reply
Hi Krishnan, I have raise one more question on Selenium grid in stack, please could you answer this : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/41606782/selenium-grid-unable-to-run-windows-as-hub-and-mac-as-node
Did my answer help you with your previous question ? If yes can you please accept it ?
Krishnan, definitely i would do that , I trying to implement the same in the current frame work, the only challenge facing is that I was previously passing the driver reference to other classes , trying to figure if i could pass the getDriver() to other classes. In the mean while I would like to know about the other case as well
Thanks Krishnan , I have implemented the Threadlocal and it work fine now. Could you answer to the selenium grid issue as well.
i want to login multiple user name & password how to do in excel sheet thanks in advances
How to fetch data as input from excel and use it as a input to login multiple user at time in selenium
Hi Sir,
I would be eager to know how to deploy custom servlets to extend both Hub and Nodes into Selenium Grid; I am using Selenium Grid βselenium-server-standalone-3.5.3β. I would be very thankful if you let me know the exact packaging (the directory structure) and deployment process; I want to extend some functionalities of Nodes and Hub in order to meet my requirements.
Hi Sir,
I have a question.
Iβm getting Error: Could not find or load main class org.testng.TestNG with selenium-server-standalone-3.9.1.jar
But the same works fine with selenium-server-standalone-2.39.0.
Do you have any idea on this?
Thank,
Senthil
Hard to say what’s going on with out additional details. Can you post your query regarding this on the selenium users google groups ? Pls don’t forget to add additional context
Hi Krishnan, could you pls help in throwing some light on this question.
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/49247571/handling-connection-issue-between-selenium-grid-hub-and-node-in-the-test
Hi Krishnan, I need help. Could you please answer this question posted in stackoverflow: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/49330837/testng-separate-test-results-for-each-instance-of-factory-dataset-returned-fr
Basically, I have factory data provider. Dataprovider is fetching data from .xls. Lets say it returns 2 rows i.e 2 instances of datasets running against a class(set in factory) which has 2 test cases. I want results separated as mentioned in the post with unique instance name.
Hi, I need to fetch chrome console(dev tool) data.
List logEntries = driver.manage().logs().get(LogType.BROWSER).getAll();
//logEntries.getAll();
for (LogEntry entry : logEntries) {
System.out.println(entry.getMessage());
}
I am using this code with DesiredCapabilities but I get a message with around 78 character which is some icon and rest data for truncated. Is there a way to get the full message? appreciate your help.
